Waiting & Hope
Bible Text: Lamentations 3:21-33; 5:5-6 | Speaker: Shelley Nomura | Series: Lamentations | In the book of Lamentations, we find the admission of sin, the need for repentance, the value of lament, and the reality of hope, all resting on the foundation of faith in the righteousness of God. Join us as we unearth gems of trust and hope from the rubble of wholesale tragedy in our current teaching series.

We encourage you to spend some time with God this week and go a bit deeper on this topic. Please consider these study questions for further reflection:
Question 1
Talk or journal about a crisis or suffering in your life that is either ongoing or is completed. Where have you seen God at work? How did he refine you? Redeem you? Where are you still waiting for him to complete the work he’s started? What do you think is keeping him from completing it?
Question 2
What truth, promise, or attribute of God do you need to remember right now in order to have hope in your suffering?
Question 3
Have you ever experienced a dark night – a season of great suffering – like Jeremiah did? What was that like? How did you find hope in that season? What growth did God bring about as a result of that suffering?
Question 4
Who is the one friend, neighbor or fellow believer that you can support in their current time of suffering?” What is one practical step you can take? When might you take that step?
