Resurrection & Life Everlasting
The Apostles’ Creed is a framework for essential Christian beliefs; it is not a series of checklists that one must agree with in order to be a Christian. Rather, it is the place where we begin our conversations about who God is, His redemptive story in the universe, and what that means for the world, His church, and us, as disciples of Jesus. Join us on Sundays in our new teaching series We Believe where we look at the Apostle’s Creed and the unity we have together in Christ.

We encourage you to spend some time with God this week and go a bit deeper on this topic. Please consider these study questions for further reflection:
Question 1
One of the most basic questions in humanity is, “What happens when we die?” As Christians we believe in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Not just because we hope for it, but because God promises it. When you think of spending eternity with God, what comes to mind for you?
Question 2
Our mortal flesh is tainted and corrupted by sin. Only through Christ’s forgiveness can we be saved. After we die, God says we will get a new body that will live on in eternity with him. What do you think it will look like in eternity when we no longer have sin flesh trying to divide us from God?
Question 3
When you accept Christ in your life, eternity starts for you that day. Our bodies will die, but we are promised resurrection and eternal life. Are you living your life knowing that your future is internal and you are an heir of Christ? Are you loving others the way that you would love them in eternity? What changes need to be made to make those two things align with God’s design for you?
