1. Advent mean 'coming' or 'arrival'. It is a time where we look back to when Jesus came to Earth and also look forward to when he will come again. What does it mean to you to be in this Advent season? What does it mean to live with the knowledge that Jesus has come, and yet he will return?
2. One of the names given to Jesus is Wonderful Counselor. It is difficult to truly comprehend the idea of an extraordinary God who deals with us in ways we can't understand but always is there for us to give wisdom and counsel in all we do. Where in your life have you witnessed God's wonder? Have you shared with others your testimony of what he has done?
3. We can see the corruption, depressions, cynicism, hate, and greed in this world. It seems to surround us in life. Even now we see the darkness that Isaiah talked about in the world. Yet, the arrival of Jesus started a process where the light replaces the dark. A time where God's love will shine bright. And we get to be a part of that light. How can you let God's light shine through you everyday and know your Wonderful Counselor better?
