With Me In Paradise

Speaker:
Passage: Luke 23:32-33, 39-43

Jesus suffered and died on the cross. Most of us know the story. But it is the words he said while nailed there that show his desire for our lives. Each time he spoke he revealed his heart and his love for us, his creation. Join us this Lenten season as we discover God’s heart for his people in our new preaching series Words from the Cross

Study Questions

The graphic for our sermon series is “the Cross = Love”.  In what ways is that true for you? (see Romans 5:8, John 3:16, 1 John 4:10)

Hebrews 12:2 says of Jesus, “Because of the joy that was awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding the shame.”  What is the joy?  What was the shame?

The “Great Exchange” is this - Jesus took our sins upon himself and gave us his righteousness. (2ndCorinthians 5:21).  What does this mean for you?

The thief on the cross had nothing to offer for his salvation.  He repented, confessed, believed and received the gift of salvation.   He discovered it’s never too late, you’re never too bad, and it’s never too hard to be saved.  How about you?  Think about and share your story.
