Study Questions

The graphic for our sermon series is “the Cross = Love”.  In what ways is that true for you? (see Romans 5:8, John 3:16, 1 John 4:10)

Hebrews 12:2 says of Jesus, “Because of the joy that was awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding the shame.”  What is the joy?  What was the shame?

The “Great Exchange” is this - Jesus took our sins upon himself and gave us his righteousness. (2^ndCorinthians 5:21).  What does this mean for you?

The thief on the cross had nothing to offer for his salvation.  He repented, confessed, believed and received the gift of salvation.   He discovered it’s never too late, you’re never too bad, and it’s never too hard to be saved.  How about you?  Think about and share your story.
