In today’s Scriptures, Jesus “sets his face, resolutely, steadfastly, determined” to go to Jerusalem.  He wasn’t going for a parade… he was going to lay down his life as ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28). What do you think was on his mind on this journey to Jerusalem, especially as he entered the city on Palm Sunday?

Hebrews 12:2 says, “For the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross”.  Jesus was thinking about that joy as he rode into Jerusalem.  What do you think that joy was?

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey – a sign of peace.  He was offering peace, even to those who were to persecute him and put him to death.  Have you experienced that peace that Jesus brings?  Describe.

Jesus is described as the spotless Lamb of God.  What does that have to do with you and me? (See John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:18-19)
