Jesus used parables all the time. They were simple stories people could understand, used to illustrate lessons Jesus wanted us to learn. Sometimes they seem straight forward, sometimes they seem mysterious. But they always give a better glimpse of who we are in Christ and what it means to live in His Kingdom.
