Easter Sunday

Join us for Easter Sunday!

Study questions:

The Easter Story is the story of God redeeming us and making it so we can have a relationship with him without sin interfering. Yet the very first Easter was not a day of Hope but a day of despair. Everyone woke up that first morning knowing that Jesus was dead. Put yourself in the shoes of those who were following Jesus. What must that first Easter morning have looked and felt like?

God had revealed through prophets and Jesus' own words that his death was necessary for humanity to be saved from ourselves. We need God to save us because we are sinners. Even though salvation does not mean that we will be free from pain, there are things that God promises us despite life's hardships. What are some of those things that God promises us and when have you experienced those things in your life?

At the tomb of Jesus, the women who came to tend to his body were told, "He is not here. He is risen." This is not the end of the story of Jesus, but the beginning of the story of the relationship we can have with God. When Jesus conquered death, sin lost its hold over us. If your identity is found in Christ, instead of in slavery to sin, how are you going to live? How does the work that God has completed change your life?
