We encourage you to spend some time with God this week and go a bit deeper on this topic. You are welcome to attend our Discussion Night on Tuesday, AUG 9 at 6:30pm or study on your own. Please consider these study questions for further reflection:

Question 1
Read Genesis 1:26-31. God created men and women in his image (Imago Dei). It took two different sexes to reflect his image. In what ways do we reflect the image of God? Think about someone that reflects that image of God - what does that look like?

Question 2
Men and women were created different, but equal. In what ways are men and women equal? In what ways are we different?

Question 3
Things were perfect and harmonious for men and women in the Garden before they disobeyed God and sin entered into the world. Read 3:1-19 and reflect on (discuss) how things changed in their relationship to God and to one another. Now, read Romans 5:6-11. How does our relationship to God and each other change with redemption through Christ?

Question 4
The terms "Complementarian" and "Egalitarian" were talked about in the sermon. What are some similarities and differences you’ve noticed between complementarianism and egalitarianism? Which perspective are you most familiar with? What is one thing you learned from the sermon? What’s a question you still have?

Scriptures to study: Genesis 1-3, Romans 5:10, Colossians 1:15, Galatians 2:28, 1 Timothy 2:12-13, Galatians 3:26
