Statement of Faith

Our statement of faith is the Apostles’ Creed.

The Apostles’ Creed

is Christianity’s oldest faith statement and most importantly, it is a biblically accurate summary of the essentials of our beliefs as Christians.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried:
he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen!

Our mission at Grace Community Church is to TELL people about Jesus, LOVE God, love others, and GO and do something for Jesus.

Our Values

A few of our core values that we live by.

At Grace Community Church we believe that Christianity is not a spectator sport; we cannot ride the coattails of someone else’s connection with God. We must be active participants in the development of our relationship with God and take steps to steadily grow in our knowledge of him and his Word.

The Christian faith is one that is community based and shouldn’t be practiced in our own little bubbles. As such, we are committed to being active parts of the larger body. We know that having others with us on the journey gives us fellowship, accountability, and encouragement.

The Bible is the Word of God and we recognize its authority. We should be actively seeking to understand it, live it, and share it with others. We agree to be governed by the principles set forth in the Bible and we trust our pastors, elders, and deacons to help us as a group of believers apply those principles in our lives

The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual gifts for use in the church and in our communities. We are committed to understanding and using our gifts to build up the church, to care for each other, and to bring the hope of Jesus to the world. The Holy Spirit is active and working in the world around us and we have the opportunity to use the gifts God has given us to show people the love of God.

Our church is part of a larger body of churches throughout the world even though we are not affiliated with any specific denomination. As part of this body, we hurt when others hurt, we rejoice when others rejoice. We strive to focus on what we have in common with other churches and to work with them to bring God’s kingdom to earth.

The gospel is good news and is meant to be shared. Through good works, which is the result of God working in our lives and bringing us into a closer relationship with him, we try to show the greatness, abounding love, and continual mercy of God to our communities.

We are called to Tell, Love, and Go. Through telling others about Jesus, loving God and loving others, and going and doing something for Jesus we believe we are embodying the Great Commandment, the Great Commission, and the essence of living a life centered around the creator and ruler of our lives.
